my dear Agnes, have you also been enjoying the silence of not having the kids around too? I know nigels still here but he barely counts. we get to watch the chase and hold hands and not be interrupted by "hey can you sign this permission slip for school camp?" or "hey when are you guys gonna start dinner it's almost 10" or "dad the interents shat out again" they were never keen to sit with us and watch babe in the big city on VHS, the way it's MEANT to be watched with us, so why try anymore?

This album is an ingenious jigsaw puzzle of diverse musical influence held together by taut strings of raw musicianship. Appreciable on so, so many levels. The fact that it was assembled and memorized for one performance blows my mind. Stunning. I once sweatily and drunkenly hugged Ed after a show. I don't think he much appreciated it, but I wear it like a badge.
